Not the restored version but an earlier one, likely similar to the first transfer complete with scratches and missing segments.

Not surprised that it's happened. The BBC should've arranged some sort of official release by now instead of leaving it on the shelf for two years.

Both eps were loose around uk fandom - local groups etc -last summer. Surprising restraint that noone had put them online before now, really...

How did they get them?? Considering the secrecy surrounding the prints before they went public.

The rumor is that someone inside the BBC got fed up with the lack of release date and leaked the episode.

The really scratchy parts are actually where the censored clips have been inserted back in, IIRC.

The lack of a release date isn't really surprising though. With only two episodes missing, there's a good chance animations have been commisioned to replace them, which would likely mean the release is the latter half of next year(unless the super-episode-cache rumour is correct of course!).

Which it's not.

Animating the other two episodes is the only delay I can see possible now.
