This is the ultimate Lotto predictor thread for the UK national lottory.

This is how it works:

You will choose just one number from the poll that you believe will come out in the Saturday 24th of October UK National Lottery draw.

As people vote it will begin to tally up the numbers most chosen.
The poll will close Saturday afternoon before the draw and the 6 numbers that have been voted for the most will be considered the 6 numbers likely to come out Saturday night.

This is more of a test to see if we can make a prediction based on many peoples choices.
If you are in the UK you might wanna put the numbers on come Saturday afternoon just incase but that's your choice.

As I said this is just a test. A test that was inspired by Derren Brown but not the same as how he claimed to have predicted the Lotto numbers.

How is that valid as a prediction? Isn't it just a complicated way of finding out what people's favorite lotto numbers are?

Not only will that not help (numbers will be chosen at random by a computer, NOT by people, so the mass's favorite numbers aren't relevent), but even if, by some huge miracle, it DID hit the right 6 numbers, it would likely still be a less than positive result. By playing the most popular 6 numbers, you're pretty likely to play the same 6 numbers as several other people. So even if the numbers hit, you'd be splitting the jackpot several ways.

Even worse if they publish the numbers before the lotto, as a few people would play that same sequence intentionally. Kinda like the numbers from Lost. People play them to be cute, but enough do it that you'd split whatever jackpot you hit if you ever won. Better off with unique numbers.

Actually, unless this lotto is won on a regular basis, wouldn't the program be better off selecting the LEAST popular 6 numbers? Odds are just as good, and you wouldn't have to split anything, most likely.
