The transmorfers on the simpsons Nov 2nd

That it was just a bunch of sight gags strung together with no underlying story. Just about the weakest, most pointless "Treehouse of Horror" segment ever. The Transformers aren't even a horror concept, so their inclusion in a Halloween episode is an odd idea. If they were going to do something based on a currently popular film property, why not something like those Saw films?

Because Jigsaw's traps are clever. Simpsons will show all manner of animated gore, but cleverness?

They've done non-horror segments n Halloween episodes before, like Harry Potter and Clockstoppers (or whatever it was called).

I watched the Simpsons Halloween Special last night while waiting for King of the Hill to start and I just felt embarrassed for everyone involved in the production of the show.

I liked the toaster saying "no" physically. And a few of their names were funny, but that was about it. The Peanuts satire segment was good, though. They should have just done the whole half hour with that one.

I think it's the weakest Treehouse of Horror yet, I wish they gave the Transformers spoof more of a story.

The opening voting sketch was worth a chuckle, but the rest of the episode was just lame as hell. A few of the musical flourishes during the Transformers segment were cute, but I never laughed during the entire episode.

The voting thing was pretty funny, not because they ripped on the Republicans (again), but because it perfectly defined Homer's behavior and thought process.

"Hey! Only two of those votes were for McCain!"
Followed by:
"This voting booth is rigged! Somebody better tell President McCain!"
