I wasn't sure where exactly to post this since the music is from a Kelvin timeline movie but since the video from a "Prime" universe movie, I figured here made the most sense. I also shared it with the Art forum but wanted to get a wider range opinions. I was listening to the Beyond soundtrack, which has become one of my favorites as did the movie itself, and was wondering how epic Night On The Yorktown would sound as the backdrop to the big, drawn out, "starship porn" reveal of the Enterprise in TMP. Well, wonder no more. I did shorten the scene down quite a bit with some faster edits to fit the music better. Enjoy.
It works.. Imagine if Beyond had come out in 1979..it certainly would've been more what people were expecting a big budget version of TOS to be. Itd have made for a good first movie
There's just a sense of wonder in that track... I think, with the trims, it makes the scene a little more powerful.
