The Third Race

Also, Jack had the entirety of the Ancients knowledge in his head (twice) surely he therefore had information about the Furlings then. At least what they looked like and what happened to them, or where they used to be...

Jack: "Oh, and the Furlings, *shudder* not furry."

^that line sounded a lot funnier in my head.

Or maybe the Furlings advanced to a state even beyond that of the Ascended Ancients and removed all information about themselves from the Ancient and Asgard databases so their awesome tech doesn't fall into irresponsible hands and make a mess they have to clean up. Maybe they left a few things like the moon transporter thingamajig around just for fun.
Nah, that sounds contrived and retconned and ridiculous.

BTW, I think that line is funny. :)

the ship from "prometheus" could have been furling, and, yeah, I think they made a huge mistake by never going for a rejoining of the 4 races to annoint humanity as the 5th story arc, i really liked the nox

The furlings built that large monolith they found on that one star system that seemed artificial in stargate universe.

Well that's a theory anyway, it is one that I hold too. Actually, they said the entire planet looked to be artificial in nature. My theory is that the Furlings perhaps had the ability to create Stars and Planets, and that entire system was created by them. Of course, no on screen evidence of this. But they did mention in the episode that the planet seemed to be constructed.

The Destiny is supposed to be way, way out of the jurisdiction of anyone in the local group. It may well have been launched before the Furlings, Nox, or Asgard were even space-faring. The idea that they managed to overtake it... if they were going there, they've been playing the premise big the other way to build up the twist. To the point where it might qualify as an out-and-out retcon.
