The new DWM has the official word on the new 4th Doctor audios that the BBC will be releasing between September and December.

The overall title is "The Stuff Of Nightmares" and it kicks off with a story called "Hornet's Nest". These are full cast plays rather the talking book style stories the BBC have been doing for the 10th Doctor, featuring the Doctor circa Season 17 with all five being written by Paul Magrs. (Whose off-the-wall style should be a perfect fit for Tom Baker. Talking Cabbage companion, here we come!)

And who shall be in the role of the Fourth Doctor? Tom Baker, or that wacky impersonator guy?

Mark

So, I'm guessing Tom wouldn't work for Big Finish cause they couldn't meet his pay requirments, eh? The BBC has deep pockets....

I doubt whatever branch of the BBC is involved has significantly more to spend on a product like this than BF would.

Baker has said he declined to work for Big Finish because he thought the scripts they sent him were rubbish. One of those, though, was written by the same Paul Magrs who's doing these, so who knows why Tom Baker does what he does?

The fact that they are gonna be full cast should make em pretty dang interesting. Should Big Finish be worried?

What Tom says depends how he's feeling on the day he's asked; he doesn't have to do anything any more, he just does stuff if he feels like it.

Wow, I had no idea Tom Baker was finally doing some audios. Hopefully he enjoys it enough to do more in the future.
