I wonder if they actually built a view screen for the bridge set now, instead of a big green screen in the shape of one.

Be nice if it were rectangular this time. ;)

IDK the screen wasn't all that large or rectangular in The Cage, of course this all takes place years after The Cage, so...;)

IDK, I'm happy they at least seem to have more of the internal TOS color scheme from what little we've seen of the stats so far, but time will tell.

I just hope it's at the front of the upper dome now, instead of that really weird cutout they went with in Disco S2.

From what I read in the Eaglemoss booklet, that was the designers attempt to fulfill TPTB's request for a window, while trying to maintain an intact dome shape.

They conceptualized it so the front of the dome would go opaque during combat. Obviously that never happened in the show.

They also put a little room in the front area there, probably meant to be an observation deck or something.

I'm honestly not seeing any differences from the Discovery model.

If you squint, the pylons look every-so-slightly less wedged, and straighter....

I don't think so, I think the angle is just obscuring the hole. You can see the inside edge here.

I'm 90% sure it's been filled in with a grille now, at least that's what this pic looks like to me.

And I'm 100% sure It's the angle, I even replicated it in STO

    The gap is right there.

It's the angle, look at my STO screenshot above. That's also using the angled pylons.

The registry numbers are missing from the bottom of the saucer, but that could be an rendering error, or an artistic choice for the poster idk. The numbers are on the nacelle.

I'm actually quite happy that there's no difference than what was seen before. At this point it's really not necessary to have the ship have yet another refit that we knew nothing about before, just to make it look more like the TOS Enterprise, which they obviously have no intention of morphing this ship into.

Of course, it's a bit confusing that other shows like LDS and PRO have shown the TOS Enterprise in its original configuration, and not this version.
