It's actually a really good idea....a seaplane which takes advantage of ground effect to achieve lift at lower speeds than a full-on airplane would require, with the caveat being that it can't operate out of ground effect. And if it works, 20k is a very reasonable price....that's about what you'd pay for a Cessna 152 from the 70s or so.
I just wish the article writer knew how to use spaces at the end of sentences.
Could you imagine the stuff we would have to pay here in the UK to take to the sky with that car.....Road tax, car insurance, flight insurance, sky tax, sea tax, attitude tax, large fan tax.
