In "The Ship" after the Vorta Kilana took a small vial of the dead Founders powder, what do you suppose Sisko did the rest of the dead Founder remains, I would think that Section 31 would be really interested in getting their hands on them, what about you???

For that matter, Odo would be better for biology tests than the ashy-corpse from that episode.

My guess would be that any remains of a Founder would be investigated for cause of death or any other information that might be gleaned. Probably, even though Odo has been examined extensively, you'd want to know what extremes a Changeling is capable of, comparing those results to current information. It should have been standard procedure to collect a sample and submit it to Starfleet.

It just seems like something happens to the Founders that turns them into coffee grounds- so I'm wondering how much they can learn from it.

But I'd love to know what killed that Founder, and if it was the Founder's disease, or just from maintaining its shape too long.
