I didn't see a thread at all for last week's episode "Bitches Brew" so I thought I'd start one for this week's episode.

It doesn't air for another 10 hours, but I'm very excited/anxious about what might happen given the fantastic set up at the conclusion of last week.

I won't post any spoilers here for last week's episode in case some didn't catch it.

The very title, parricide, leads me to think that some bad shit is going to go down. Even worse than usual. :p

Wow. Things are really heating up now.

Sadly I won't be able to see the reason of the season for a long time. I might be able to see next week's but I'm not sure. Talk about a cliffhanger. :(

What an intense, amazing episode.

Best of the season IMO.

Season 7 started slow, but is now really becoming great.

The interrogation scene was awesome especially as Shane realizes the inevitable. "Why don't you take a number and shove it up your ass?"

Corrinne's worst suspicions are confirmed and Vic turns in his badge, pretty wild, I'm really curious how this season will ultimately end.

I forgot to mentions last night: I'm really surprised that Paula Garces was added to the opening credits. She hasn't been in the last couple of episodes (and was barely featured in the episode before those) and the only thing Tina has done this season was possibly not clearing a section of a building.

She was also a big part of that porn thing, too. Nonethless, though, she's still very minor. And have I been seeing it wrong or is she not also listed IN FRONT of Walton Goggins in the opening credits?

Great episode! The interrogation scene was very intense, then Shane knew two-man was going to give him up so he made a B line for the exit. I was on the edge of my seat to see if he would get out of there.

Didn't see Vic turning in his badge early though. That caught me off guard.

I have never been a big Julian fan, but he has come along way with the show. From laughing stock, to possibly gay, to real cop, to Strike Team member. But this season it seems that Julian is just....how to say this....in the way. He is a plot device. Usually stories that involve Julian are intense and interesting because of his two cents, but now they kind of bring him into a scene and then tell him to do something and he is gone. Then shows up again only to have someone else tell him to do something and go away. They have a lot of story to tell, so Julian is going on the back burner I guess.

And where did Tavon go? I thought he was going to be a big part of the season, and ultimately help Vic take down Shane for killing Lem.

Question about last weeks episode. Was the 53 year old guy on the show before? I thought I remembered him from the very first episode, but I am not sure.
They said he was an ex-cop.

Yes, she is, but the opening credits are in alphabetical order except for CCH Pounder at the end with "and" credit.

Yeah, I really hope that one episode wasn't the extent of his return, otherwise that would be very disappointing.

I'm fairly certain he was the rent-a-cop partner of Vic's former partner/mentor.

Nice to see things finally moving along. How stupid was Two Man to use his own motorbike with his own license plate when trying to kill a cop in a populated apartment building? And how did he manage to miss? As much as I like Ronnie, it would have played better if he actually died there.

Missing is common under pressure. He knew Ronnie was an officer and carries a gun. In real gunfights, it is hard to hit due to many factors: moving targets, people shooting back, stress, etc.

In this case, he was probably stressing that Ronnie would fire back if it wasn't an instant kill (which is almost impossible with a pistol to begin with).

Paula Garces has been in the opening credits since last season.

Great episode, probably one of the series bests.

That interrogation scene was so intense.

Does anyone see how Vic can come out of this at all without having to make corpses out of both Shane AND Mara (who is still pregnant, mind you)?

And even so, Corrine isn't just going to keep this information to herself. Kavanaugh tried to intimidate her in the past about withholding information back when she didn't even have any. But now that she knows almost everything (the gap being Lem's murder) if she fails to come forward she is only putting her children at risk of losing both their parents to death or jail, and I highly doubt she will do that. She is not as ignorantly loyal to Vic as Mara is to Shane.

In fact one of the more interesting aspects for me right now is the huge distinction the show has been making between the Mackey and Vendrell families.

I'm figuring the series will end with Vic and Shane offing each other, even though I think Vic should walk away the winner. Maybe Ronnie will be the survivor who lives to tell the tale :p

Vic may be set up to go out redeeming himself. The show has shown that he is capable of good.... but the original sin of killing a fellow cop is still burnt in him. Perhaps, given that he has lost everything (his job, kids, family), he decides to do one last good deed and sacrifices himself for other cops. It obviously would not undo his bad deeds, but it would allow some form of redemption.

I sense that Shane will be taken out.

I can easily see Ronnie get off... he never killed a cop ... the worst thing he did was kill the unarmed hitman.... and there is no evidence linking him to that.

I wonder what will come of Aceveda. Will he get the political job he wants? Or will he be uncovered for corruption?

The way I see it is Vick fixes it so his family is set, Ronnie probably turns on Vic and Shane finally realizing he needs to cover his own ass, and Shane goes down as a result of his own actions. The show should end with Dutch or Claudette arresting Vic, and Vic walking in to a prison yard and smiling.
