Don't most people who try to change the system from within end up chewed up and spit our by said generally-inflexible system?

I'd rather be chewed up by the system than a mob.

Hence my preference for being IN the mob, or even more preferably, next to it where neither side will notice.

If it weren't for the Shadows, most of the things developed to oppose them would not have been necessary. So big whoop. I mean, it's worth the populations of entire planets dying so that we can have nifty "white star" ships and one more goddamned "alliance?"

Defense contractors love this kind of logic, but it really stinks.
