Doesn't he have better stuff to do like, I dunno, bringing rain to the world's famine-ridden regions or doing something about that pesky cancer?

I'll pay my share of the quatloos, but I'm not going near TNZ.

My school had clocks that were are centrally synchronized so once each hour any analog clock that drifted ahead would tick back until it matched the master clock...or if the room clock was running slow, it would move extra fast for a few seconds to catch up.

But that was a networked system. If the clock you're using is one of those clocks that synchs to a time-server's radio signal, it could also be performing an auto-synch.
