The Sarah Jane Adventures Has Started Filming On Season Four

Presuming 1 season=1 year, Luke, Rani, and Clyde would be 17 in season 4. Of the three, Daniel Anthony (Clyde) is the oldest at 23. The other two are younger. I don't think age is going to be a problem for a while.
 
as a viewer I would not find ageing a problem, however for a CBBC show it is a problem.

also I would hate to see the characters just spend there lives with Sarah Jane, super genius Luke should spread his wings, work for UNIT or the Shadow Proclomation, his mind is just to valuable to be wasted on Bannerman Road alone.
 
It will be interesting because I think a lot of people have forgotten that RTD is still looking after SJA. I wonder how closely the two shows will be... and are we likely to see Matt Smith (and Amy?) at Bannerman road?
 
well we already know that The Weeping Angels are going to appear in S4, which is probaly going to confuse things more for some.
 
Well, let me guess, there'll be a Trickster episode with the words "Sarah-Jane Smith" in the story title...

But the previous post's spoiler sounds interesting.

DigitalSpy have an exclusive interview with newly promoted SJA Executive Producer Nikki Wilson, where she discusses the upcoming fourth and fifth seasons of the show.

Here's an extract, regarding a couple of the new monsters:

"The Nightmare Man is part of a really big emotional journey for Luke which involves him facing his fears and excitement about the future. The Shansheeth are vulture undertakers who get embroiled with the gang on a big adventure for the middle of the series."

I believe the Nightmare Man appears in the first adventure of the fourth series, titled - funnily enough - "The Nightmare Man". From what I hear, it's the first to go before the cameras when filming starts in three weeks time.

On that note, Wilson confirms that this year the show will not only film the entire fourth series, but half of the fifth too. The reason for this? Well, as I explained in a previous post, it's probably to do with the age of the cast - the production team not wanting them to look too old by the time the fifth series goes out in 2011.

It could also to be a budget requirement. Maybe CBBC have enough money for half of the fifth series now, and will have the remainder by this time next year?

UPDATE!! A seperate source now tells me that "The Nightmare Man" will be Adventure Two (episodes 3&4) of the new series. Watch this space!

I am pretty sure that Tommy Knight (Luke) is good for S4, not so sure about S5, the idea behind "The Nightmare Man" points to him leaving during S4, I hope its the end of S4.
 
I want them to bring back Maria, because she and Luke are OTP to borrow a term from the LiveJournal masses.

But I also don't want Rani to leave because she is gorgeous.
 
if you are going to borrow from LiveJournal, you are going to have to explain what OTP means, yeah ok I can look it up on google, but thats not really the point.
 
For the lazy and indolent on the board (seriously, you're already typing on the computer, just tab over to the "Google" box), "OTP" means "One True Pairing," the preferred romantic coupling for a character in a TV show, movie, book, play, dirty joke, what have you.

How so? Are there two Lukes? Cuz Luke Smith and Clyde are the only OTP on the show.
 
Nah, it's totally gonna be Clyde and Rani. (But that's not an OTP-- there'll be a messy teenage relationship and a messier breakup.)
 
Im not keen on Luke / Maria, plus she has left the show now, I cant think of a SJA OTP.

However if there was a OTP RTDs would only do what Joss Wheedon does, and the moment the two of them get together, kill one of them off.
