The Return of Kamelion

Starting in January, Big Finish are releasing a trio of audios with the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, Turlough and Kamelion team.

Jon Culshaw, who previously voiced a recording of the Fourth Doctor in The Kingmaker, voices the robot.

It's actually four stories over three releases:
247 Devil in the Mist
248 Black Power/Thursday Game (two story release)
249 The Kamelion Empire

I wouldn't mind a match-up with Kamelion and Frobisher. Two shapeshifters, double the confusion.

Would be nice if they brought back Frobisher at all! Especially since they're digging pretty deep for the likes of Kamelion.

Still, considering the Tegan/Turlough/Nyssa/Adric set-ups are among my favorite companion groups with Big Finish, I'm sure this will be fun at least.

I never understood why they wrote Kamelion out. I understand that they had difficulties with the robot, but he's a shapeshifter!!! Just hire a different actor for each story.

I guess they wanted to have the ability to return to his natural form? Or perhaps they realized through the issues with the robot that they simply didn't want to continue with the character?

I think with the loss of the robot you would loose the sense of him being a single character, rather than companion-of-the-week.

Frobisher contemporary Josiah Dogbolter is the villain in this month’s Seventh Doctor release. There’s always a possibility of Frobisher’s return, I guess.

I've heard the Frobisher stories and while he's a fun character I think he only really works in certain types of stories.

It would be nice if they could tie-up some of the Frobisher threads from the comics and give us an "exit" point.
