There will be a public vote and i will also pick my favourite. The vote winner, and my choice (providing their not the same) will, with the author's permission, be posted on my site WITH FULL CREDIT and be part of my 'universe'. in the event the public and i agree on the best, the 2nd place story in the vote will be added.
EDIT: forgot to say, it'd help if entries are linked in this thread after posting, as with the usual challenges.
Stories MUST:
*be set between 2265 and 2270 (the time of TOS and TAS, when security guards wore red shirts)
*be centred on 2 starfleet security officers of 2 different species
*be consistent with on-screen Trek, TAS may be referenced.
*be PG-13 rated.
Stories MAY:
*be any of the following: courtroom drama, murder investigation, crime-scene investigation, battle against pirates/klingons/orions/tholians/nausicaans/gorn^
*be set on a colony, starbase or starship
*feature any of the following races: humans, andorians, vulcans, tellarites, rigelians, saurians, efrosians, nasat, caitians, denobulans, axanar, kretassan or arkenites
*be consistent with events depicted in my stories, but this isn't a hard rule: see the timeline for details.
*reference events from novels where not contradicted by canon
stories MAY NOT:
*be set on Antalus, Tells Prime or Starbase 25 as they are the locations for my RS stories.
*be entirely based around a relationship. IE no shippy fic.
other than that it's up to you.
^FOOTNOTE. You may involve the Romulans, but of course bear in mind the fact you've got extra hoops to jump through to avoid an all-out war by either side crossing the neutral zone.
