Those are Probert’s sketches, but they are indeed what I based the ACE nacelle on. I think the side, top, and front are on Bernard’s Treknographics site under “Cygnus-class”.
Great stuff from what I can gather (I'm not on instagram or any other SM site, and not signing up just to see)...thanks bro for sharing !
Here we go with the destroyer https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/treknographics101/cygnus-class-destroyer-t1014.html There were several side views of that Ent-D…I can’t find those.
Here you go. Wrong thread. It was in a thread dedicated to the ACE that I talk about the connection to Probert’s art. In the email I sent to Bernard that he quotes here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/treknographics101/ace-warp-nacelle-detail-drawings-t1016.html
That’s it. There was a longer Belknap type secondary type hull that was fashioned after yours. Similar to these two http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/images/federation/exploratorycruiser_valor.jpg http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/images/federation/cruiser_dahlgren_upg.jpg I often thought that a good post TMP-era Galaxy class would have that hull—your ACE nacelles, and an Ariel type saucer with the edge treatment of the saucer here: https://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/lcars/sdy-endeavor-ncc-1768.php Ariel’s saucer would be a tad taller…have 10 forward, etc. No Excelsior distraction—-it would point more directly to the Ent-D.
