Michael and Dwight decide to surprise Ryan in New York for a night of clubbing and meet his friends. Meanwhile, the Scranton branch is upset when they find out they have to come in on a Saturday for Ryan's website project. Jim's plan to save them has unexpected results.

Watching it right now, good stuff so far! :techman:

The B-plot, with the rest of the office gang being stuck in the business park and everyone slowly turning on Jim & Pam was great, especially capped off with the closer when the security guy finally comes

The main plot....had it's moments. I'm not excited for the new 'Ryan is a cokehead' thing. It came totally out of left field, seems out of character, and I don't want the show to become an after-school special. So I'm worried about that. Still some great Dwight-Michael stuff though.

I don't think it'll become after school special. It'll probably be handled mostly off-screen with a few references to it off-handedly. I love the fact how Ryan has completely spun out of control since getting the job. A complete character change.

The other bit I loved tonight was with Toby placed his hand on Pam's knee and everyone got quiet and awkward. That was funny, only to further it with Toby racing out and hopping the fence.

This one was a bit meh for me. It might be better on a re-watch though.

I always just assumed Ryan was a coke head to begin with. He certainly seems the type, i.e. an overachieving prick. I seriously doubt it'll pan out as some hackneyed anti-drug morality play.

Toby does not have the best coping skills.

Best line- Creed: "I like the website."

A month ago, people were were afraid to come to the website for fear that they would get molested or have their identity stolen.

When they met the basketball girls, I thought they had stumbled into a lesbian bar. But Dwight actually had a chance with one of them.

"Why do you assume they speak Mexican?" then the rest was a little funny. The drug addict part felt weird. It's like they don't know how far to go before Michael talks about "boys on the side" and Dwight singing a lullaby in german.

It was okay. Didn't think it was as good as last weeks. Dwight pouring the drink away was classic.

It's hard not to feel for Toby, but oh gawd, what was he thinking with the whole hand-on-knee thing? That one moment completely outstripped every awkward beat and conversation at Micheal's dinner party.

The payoff was great, though. "Well, I think I'll hop the fence and jog home..."
