This week's issue of EW, has a pullout collector's edition celebrating 20 years of TNG.

It lists the Top 10 episodes(the best of all time)

    Catches up with the cast

Brief history with people behind the scenes

    A bit more.

How does this pertain to Trek Literature? If there isn't anything, then I'm going to ship this off to The Next Generation forum.

Ship it gently and with care. Do not bend. Flammble contents. Highly Toxic. No Signature required. :D

Thanks for the head's up; I saw Brittany on this weeks' cover and bleh, there went my lunch. Good thing this new special pullout is with a Heroes cover!

Remember that awesome EW cover/pullout (can't remember which) of the TNG cast in black and white? Great cover for their series finale!

This just had to get me started on a rant. I am a U.S. Postal Service employee, and I would love to have a nickel for everytime I see one of the following written on a flimsy envelope.

    1. Please hand cancel. OR
    2. Please do not fold or bend. OR
    3. Fragile, photos enclosed.

NO ONE is reading these messages!!! 99% of the volume we handle is processed by AUTOMATION. This means I pull no less than 10 pieces of mail, in various stages of destruction, out of my machine per shift with contents that were mailed is tissue-thin envelopes. If anyone has something of value to ship, please use a proper medium. Stop mailing pens, keychains, cassette tapes, etc. in envelopes. Send such items by Priority, or by Registered Mail, or by UPS!!

Thank you for your attention. :p

It was back in 94 when Generations was getting ready to hit theaters.

I still have that issue. It was a great cover photo. In fact, the article also stated what the TNG movies should be about down the line. Sadly, we never got Q :(

Obviously we don't get EW over here in the UK, but I like to pick up the back issues when I see them at cons or at dealers. I'll look out for this edition. I have some great editions packed away in my Trek Corner (tm) :D

I got the Entertainment Weekly insert as well. It was neat to see what some of the cast was up to these days. I was unaware.
What did everyone think of the top ten list?

It's kind of disappointing that they didn't have anything on Gates McFadden for the catching up with the cast feature. I mean they have something on Denise Crosby, but not Gates. :wtf:

    Here's EW's Top Ten list:
    1. Yesterday's Enterprise
    2. The Best of Both Worlds parts 1 & 2
    3. The Inner Light
    4. Tapestry
    5. All Good Things...
    6. The Measure of a Man
    7. Sins of the Father
    8. First Contact (tv episode)
    9. The First Duty
    10. Chain of Command part 2

That is puzzling, because crosby was only a cast member for 3/4 of a season.

    Fixed. ;)

That list is pretty unremarkable to me since those are the eps that ususally score highly in episode picks. Except for First Duty and First Contact. Those never seem to figure highly.

[IMG] How did that episode make the cut? It's entertaining, but pretty mundane in the grand scheme on things.

The episode doesn't belong on a top ten list by any means, but it does have that great scene where the nurse tells Riker she has always wanted to have sex with an alien.
