The new Unsolved Mysteries

Has anyone caught the new Unsolved Mysteries show on SpikeTV yet? While I'm appalled they replaced Star Trek:Voyager with this show, I'm glad the series is back!

I tried to do an IMDB.com search on the series, but no information was found. However, it is on SpikeTV from 6-7pm and I think 5-6pm EST, also. I don't know who the host is, but the series shows promise. It's pretty cool, they use "Google Earth" to go to the different locations to tell the stories and use a Windows format for different screen as well. While I think they cannot replace Robert Stack by any means with this new show, I am glad it's back on. There is not much good TV these days.

It sounds like Dennis Farina is the narrator. I thought these were later episodes, but reruns. Are they actually new?

Robert Stack was great as the host/narrator of Unsolved Mysteries. It's not the same without him but I'm happy that UM is back on the air.

Anyone remember the original host before Robert Stack? :D (No, don't look it up)

It was back when UM was an occasional NBC special as opposed to a regular series.

Huh, interesting...so it's basically old episodes re-edited with new footage. Gotta say, that's a pretty smart way to reuse something the vault. The article is right, no matter what they're pretty much turning a profit.

It had a nother host? :wtf: :p Seriously, I never watched the NBC version, so I'm used to Robert. :D

It looks like they're just voicing over Robert Stack with Dennis Farina. I wonder why? Royalties Maybe? But no more phone number now you have to go to their website to help them. How many people are gonna do that?

They are using old clips for recaps, but rarely. Most of the cases I've seen are new. Even though they really asked people to call in if they had any info on Bigfoot.

The original host was Karl Malden. And Raymond Burr did one or two as well. And the stories were much more mysterious and creepy.
