It got me thinking Trek could return to a nice mellow pace like most of TNG episodes depicting the public areas of the ship for the most time. Most people accused it of being "Soap Opera"ish but that was mostly cerebral really as a complain, a technical argument, not a real one. In reality most people loved it as the best series precisely because of that good quality mellow and slow pace it had. You had Picard and his tea, and the cafeteria and plenty of other areas that felt so mellow and lovely for being in space at the same time. A great antithesis. You get now so many series that insist to start with fireworks, continue with fireworks, ok, show a brief love scene, and then end with fireworks. Fireworks aren't always what people pay attention to.
