...was the best Trek novel I've read since "A Stitch in Time"!

Has anyone any recommendations for any other novels that can compare to these two?

I haven't really been into Trek novels since I was a teenager (used to borrow stacks of then at a time from the library every week!) and have since moved on to non-tie-in SF lit.

But, I thoroughly enjoyed TNES and it reminded me how much I enjoyed a Stitch in Time (my all time favorite Trek novel, which I've read at least twice over the years).

Is there any other fine Cardassian literature anyone can recommend?

Una McCormack's other full-length novel, Hollow Men, isn't as good as Sacrifice but it does feature Garak prominently (he goes to Earth, and it's exactly as funny as it sounds) and it's well worth the read. Just make sure you read the Memory Alpha summary of In The Pale Moonlight first, as it's a direct sequel to that episode.

TNES is an excellent novel and has an understanding of humanity and people that is (to me at least) lacking in the current range.

To complete the "holy trinity" of Cardassian literature, you should try and read "Terok Nor: Day of the Vipers", another excellent novel.

It, along with "A Stitch in Time" and "The Never-Ending Sacrifice" are on my personal top five list.

^ Oh, yeah, forgot about that one.

The other two Terok Nor books have their moments, too, but aren't really novels as much as random bits of backstory told in chronological order, without much unifying storyline.

Haha! In the Pale Moonlight is one of my fave eps and I have seen it many times! No need for a summary! Although, I might as well watch it again before reading "Hollow Men" when I find it. Any excuse, eh? :-D

If you like Cardassians, you might want to check out the Titan series, there is a Cardassian character who plays a good sized role in several of the books.

Almost complete but you can't forget Cardassia: The Lotus Flower by Una McCormack in the first volume of Worlds of Deep Space Nine.
