Game The Most Disliked Q Appearance

THE OBJECTIVE: A sudden-death elimination game in which we remove our personal favorite episodes from a themed list, until we arrive at the episode that is, if not the worst, at least the most disliked.

THE RULES: Below is a list of Q appearances from TNG, DS9, VOY, LD, and PIC. ("Two Of One" intentionally omitted because it is a one-line flashback)

Eliminate/save your favorite, or the one you deem the ‘best.’
Post something you love about the episode you are saving, and copy-and-paste the list with your choice removed.

You can use any standard you like to judge which option is "best." You can save episodes for being widely recognized “best Trek” classics, or for idiosyncratic qualities that no one appreciates but you.

But -- no tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you don’t think anyone else will, or because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to “win.”

You can take multiple turns. Leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

[Seven of Five]

All Good Things... was a suitably epic conclusion to TNG, and Q coming back to judge Picard was the perfect resolution to Encounter at Farpoint.

I loved the jumps between different time periods, as it was a good excuse to see Tasha, O'Brien, the old set dressings, and uniforms again. Riker having resentment towards Worf because of his and Troi's relationship was an interesting angle to take.

And no matter how goofy the idea sounds, I loved the three nacelles on the future Ent-D. And Warp 13.

I generally consider the Q episodes on Voyager to be on a downward arc. But this first outing is fine. What do you do if you're a member from a species that can do, know, and experience everything, except die? Q is great in his role as 'conservative' yet somewhat conflicted Q, as is Quinn.

"Deja Q" had some terrific dialogue, and offered the first chance for viewers to actually sympathize with our petulant, acerbic, and actually-not-beyond-redemption Q.

Q: Oh, very clever, Worf. Eat any good books lately?

CRUSHER: According to this, he has classic back trauma. Muscle spasms.
Q: I've been under a lot of pressure lately. Family problems.
CRUSHER: Well. don't expect too much sympathy from me. You've been a pain in our backside often enough.

Q: It's difficult working in a group when you're omnipotent.

Q: Oh, you're so stolid, Commander. You weren't like that before the beard.

True Q has a cool concept when it's revealed that Amanda's parents had initially been members of the continuum, and had to leave. I think Amanda was a sympathetic enough character, and the episode also has some great moments between Q and Picard.
