I'll give my first point to THE PIRATES OF ORION. Just a better episode than the others.

The Pirates of Orion isn't the most memorable episode, but there's not really a whole lot wrong with it either.

Mudd's Passion is hurt by a few bits that haven't aged well (albeit not to nearly the same degree as Mudd's Women), but even with that it's still the best of these three stories, IMO.

"BEM" is just stupid. "Mudd's Passion" makes Christine Chapel even creepier and more pathetic. "Eye of the Beholder" is no great shakes but preferable to either.

I read ADF's adaptation of BEM before I saw it and it was even more of a let down, not that MUDD'S PASSION is any kind of masterpiece.

Mudd's Passion; I actually don't consider Bem to be the worst episode of this series, but Mudd's Passion at least does the best job it could have done with its premise. Bem has a bunch of different ideas, any one of which could have been interesting on their own, but they don't gel and are executed quite poorly to boot.

I thought Mudd’s Women was just okay. I, Mudd had a cool teaser, but drifted into ridiculousness.
