The most disliked episode of DS9 - Part Three

BlueStuff

Okay Trek fans, "least disliked" has concluded, so now it's time for the opposite. The basic idea here is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your favorite or the one you deem the 'best.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Saving Destiny - IMO the most underrated DS9 ep, and a major turning point for Sisko's character. It's always been in my top 10 for the whole series.

I'm sure the best ones will be saved so I'll get in quick and save some of my personal favorites from this season. First, Civil Defense, an outstandingly fun episode with great Dukat moments, particularly his hilarious interaction with Garak.

I'm going to save Merdian. It's a unsung gem of this season with a great plot that speaks to the souls of the characters as well as having great symbolism of real life.

Okay, I'm not going to do that because I haven't had nearly enough crack today for that to make sense.

I'll follow BlueStuff's cue and go for a less-acclaimed episode or two early on, actually. Good season though.

Let's see... skip past all the everyone-agrees-they're-great episodes... ah, here we go. "Shakaar" has some good Kira moments and Bajoran development.

Seems we're all following the same strategy this round...

I'll save Equilibrium - it's probably the best Jadzia episode, plus I enjoyed the dream sequences and the further insights into Trill culture.

Now to rescue Fascination. Light and fun with great directing by Avery Brooks. Sorry haters, embrace the love in this episode! :D

And it's on to "Life Support" before that one gets left in the dust. Really heartfelt. Tugged at me, it did.

Visionary: I liked the story: shifts through time, O'Brien meeting his past self, and the big reveal at the end.

I posted right after Geck, leaving out his vote. Seeing this, I edited my post, but not before you posted after me, including the unedited list. It's one of the drawbacks of how quick this game goes! :D

Drat, I need to be starting my day. This round will probably have ended by the time I return. *crosses fingers that "Meridian" is at or near the bottom* Seeya, everyone! Have fun!

The House of Quark, brilliant little episode, one of my favorites. Great Quark episode, and a great Klingon episode because it shows them needing to be taught about honor and courage, by a little Ferengi barkeeper.

Cheers for the correction, BlueStuff :)

Distant Voices is another personal favourite - I seem to like episodes that take place in the heads of the characters, and I thought Siddig did a great job playing Super Old Cranky Bashir.

The Adversary - love the claustrophobic feel of this episode and how it allows the characters to be paranoid (very unusual in Trek).
