This is how far I have to reach to find a reason to embrace one of these... I'll save "Tattoo" for featuring a rare appearance of Samantha Wildman. Truly, we almost never saw that character! I wish Voyager had gone DS9-style and developed a richer stable of regularly seen recurring characters.

Saving "Descent, Part II" for Dr Crusher being in charge of the ship - it was interesting to see her doing something different.

"Homeward" wins, which is not what I was expecting.

"Darkling" is the one on this list I intensely hated, though I know it has it's fans, so I thought it was unlikely to win. Also, there were a lot of other weak links on this particular one -- through no fault of the directing, I don't think, I largely put the blame on hopeless scripts.

For a minute I thought "Homeward" might be a double winner, but it's not. It is the 5th episode to win from TNG's last season, though! Poor season 7. I like it more than others.

But not "Homeward." That one is not for me, it never makes it on my rewatch list.

I considered saving "Homeward"... yes, it assassinated Picard's character in a big way, but "Resolutions" did the same with Harry and I saved it. Ultimately decided that the episode's strengths didn't overwhelm this shortcoming.

Quite often, it's not the worst episode that gets saved... it's the one no one has a soft spot for.
