The Menagerie on the Big Screen!!! Who's dressing up??

number6

Vice Admiral
I've been to every Trek film event since the premiere of TMP.
Each film had a contingent of hardcore fans dressed as their favourite character.

Some have even made up their own characters (TNG Space Marines ???)

Who is going to dress up for the Menagerie?? Seeing a bunch of Green Orion Slave Vina's standing in line for popcorn and sno-caps will be more than worth the price of admission for me.

Please discuss and opine...

Cheers,
Your very own Number6

I'm not wearing anything special. After work I'm not particularly inspired to change clothes other than into something comfortable.

Due to a mix up with a couple of friends schedules, I will be attending both the 7:30 and 10:30 showings on the 15th...

I was thinking of dressing as a Klingon, but... I'll probably wuss out...

It's been so many years since I wore a "Star Trek" costume that I can't face the prospect of looking like Scotty in "Star Trek IV."

"There be whales here! Oh, and we beamed up George and Gracie, too."

Currently too fat for the miniskirt, plus I'll be going straight from work.

EDIT: Polaris, you can be George, I'll be Gracie

I'm going to paint a blow-up sex doll green, and have its head in my lap and its arms around my waist.

What else are Orions for?

Yes, there should be a rule that if you're 20 pounds or more overweight you can't dress up in Trek costumes!

Unless you go has Harry Mudd or Cyrano Jones.

Millions of rule breakers abound at conventions around the globe!!

Or Riker.

I bought 4 tickets tonight for Tuesday in Albany, NY! Should have bought a 5th as the other 3 were quickly spoken for among my spacey friends.
I don't have a Starfleet outfit. Been thinking of getting a shirt though, for music gigs.

Picked up 3 tickets this morning for the showing on the 13trh in Ahwatukee, Arizona.

Am surious to see the documentary that is accompaning this.

Tbf - an overweight person could probably pull off the TWOK-TUC movie uniforms, and the FC-NEM/DS9 uniforms.

The only special attire I'll have on besides my street clothes is the ENT-themed jacket I just finished putting patches and rank pips on.

(ENT at a TOS event? Surely I jest!)

Heh.. I am sure that the TOS fans who hate ENT also hate TOS-R. To them their childhoods are being raped equally by the two.
:)

Well, if I catch flak for it, I can just bring up the fact that it's hard to make TOS-themed jackets because they aren't as NASA-y as ENT is (patches, etc).

Then again, the TOS fans who hate ENT and TOS-R will probably not go to this showing ;) :p

TOS? TOS-R? Seriously, who gives a damn? Don't answer that. Don't answer for anyone else either.

I'm going to see "The Menagerie" on the big screen if I can find time for it... I have grad school, that comes first, then if there's a night showing I'll go directly aftewards. I still have to call the theater in question to check the times.

I won't be dressing up. That's not what I do. I'm going to wear jeans and a regular shirt (I threw out the Spock T-shirt many years ago :p ). Not to mention a jacket.

For the record, I don't like ENT and I associate Star Trek more with my adolescence.
