Got an email from StarTrek.com today, which I'm sure many of you did, about this event for remastered "The Menagerie" in theatres! StarTrek.com article

SPECIAL EVENT: Remastered "Menagerie" in Theatres!

On Tuesday, November 13, the two-part Star Trek Remastered version of "The Menagerie” will beam onto the big screen in a special engagement with selected theatres. The screening — a first for episodic Star Trek on this scale — will be seen in nearly 300 venues across the U.S. and Canada. This one-night-only event will also feature a special introduction by Eugene "Rod” Roddenberry, son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, plus an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Remastered series.

"The Menagerie" will be presented in its digitally remastered, high-definition format and in Cinema Surround Sound. The screening is in part to promote the HD-DVD/DVD release the following week (Nov. 20) by CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.
I've posted a thread in the Meetup forum for San Diego for those interested!

It's only at one theater within 20 miles of me - and that's the one right down the street. I'm there!

Suprisingly enough, it's playing at a theater only 15 miles from where I live. Unfortunately, I'll be working at that time.

Cough, cough. I feel like I may be catching a cold around then.

Well, the article says 'Canadian dates coming soon' which is encouraging. Hopefully it'll be a coast to coast thing, with screenings in at least Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Glad to see it'll be at two locations around Indianapolis! The more the merrier! Any other Central Hoosiers planning on watching Malachi Throne fade away on the big screen? :D

I guess we'll finally answer the question of whether the Old Girl can look good on the silver screen ;).

You're missing a coast. :vulcan:

You're right--my mistake. Apologies to the maritimer trekBBSers. :D

What I meant to say was that (hopefully) at the very least they'd include Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal--ideally though, we'd also see screenings in Halifax, Quebec City, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Victoria as well.
