The Menagerie Audio

Methuselah Flint

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
I watched the original mono track on the Blu Ray a while back, and noticed quite a few audio differences that were, arguably, improved when the first set of DVDs came out, and whose audio has been used ever since.

I knew the Max's Factor cue when Vina's beauty is restored, was smoothed and joined better when they touched up the audio for the DVDs.

However, I also noticed that when the scene fades from Pike's "can't read through hate", to the Keeper exiting the elevator, the music join isn't as smooth on the mono.

Lastly, the portion of the Going Up cue is different on the mono track for the brief portion of the flashback that is seen on the screen as the Keeper, Pike etc come up the elevator and exit to the surface, prior to zooming in/cutting to full screen. Just a minute or two into Part 2, Act 4.

I wonder how many other subtle instances there are of cues altering/edited better, besides the well-known ones we've discussed before (such as Spock in the turbolift in The Deadly Years)?
