Exactly. Enjoyment is paramount to me in the theater with a film.
I saw it last weekend with a couple of friends and we liked it. I don't know why but with the travelling and stuff in the movie I miss KOTOR. Why can't they make a KOTOR 3?

the SWTOR MMO is the KOTOR sequal.
They are making a spiritual successor though, called 'Fate of the Old Republic'.
Development is being lead by Casey Hudson, who also lead KOTOR 1.
I tried TOR but didn't like it, what I remember was a lot of walking and only fighting. I have heard of Fate of the Old Republic, but it doesn't have a release date right?
I liked what I played of TOR - but would much have preferred an offline version. - Hadn't heard of Fate, but am interested.
It just started development, the lead claims it will be out before 2030.
When they announced that the next KOTOR would be an MMO my heart sank because this was during the World of Warcraft (WOW) craze when every studio was trying to replicate that success. TOR was nothing more than a piss poor WOW ripoff with cut scenes. Once you got past your character's main storyline, that game was over. They should have just done KOTOR 3 and released the non force using professions as DLCs.
I have read somewhere that they were string with the development of KOTOR 3, but indeed because of WOW they changed it
They've added a ton of new story content since launch, and are still adding more.
They've also made it easier to not have to play with other people, story based group content can be done solo now.
The last big dlc was ten years ago and since then all new content has been slowly drip fed thru patches. The game was such a failure that it went FTP six months after launch and was turned over to Broadsword awhile back. Its been a dead game for some time now.
That only proves my point that it is a failed MMO. I paid $200 for the deluxe edition(big box with statue and other goodies) played it until the game went FTP and have went back and played all the expansions. While it's nice to play through once, the sluggish controls , bugs and horrible engine still hold it back. Plus,the last couple expansions had cutscenes that were so long it felt like I was watching a movie instead of playing a game.
I've seen all three Avatar movies, the Clash of The Titans remake, and I think one of The Hobbit movies, in 3D. For me the Avatar movies have to be seen at least once in 3D since that's the intended format they were filmed for.
They're also working on remake of the first Knights of the Old Republic.
It was originally announced back in 2021, but it's still supposed to be coming eventually.
An MMO doesn't have to be shut down to be considered dead. But if you want to pretend that a $200 milliin dollar game which even Bioware gave up on, with a few thousand people on just 5 servers isnt dead, knock yourself out.
Apparently a rough cinematic from the first remake attempt by the previous developer was leaked.
Last year. the previous developer was pulled from the project because their publisher didn't think they were doing a good job and took over development themselves.
Digital release on July 21 and physical release on August 25.
I had thought I missed my chance to see it again in a theater, but apparently it's still playing in my area.I find that surprising because it can't be making much money.
According to Box Office Mojo, at https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl3294527489/?ref_=bo_yld_table_8 , last tuesday it was in 575 theaters, with an average of $177 , with $100,000 thay Tuesday. This week was 230 theaters... i assume they are just about done.
It is #8 for the year so far, but will definitely be out of the top 10 by September
