This is a very strong top-ten list for season two. I might quibble with a couple (Wolf, Changeling) and trim it to a really vibrant top 8, but I've already gone once in this thread. Anyway, if you were introducing season 2 to a newbie, this would be a good list.

Who Mourns for Adonais? - Gone. Why? Sorry but they had oh so many episodes with "godlike being toys with the ship/crew" and (IMO) of those, this was one of the worst.

Obsession. Of the ones left this one didn't really resonate with me. We've seen Kirk's obsession for vengeance before in "The Conscience of the King" and it didn't drive him to this level of intensity. Plus this one just feeds redshirts to the meatgrinder at a level not seen since "The Apple".

William Marshall was great as Daystrom but overall, I felt the weakest of those left and I like giant space amoebas.

Damn this is getting very hard. Ok after many hours of decision making im gonna go with amok time only because the kirk/spock fight theme music is not my favorite. Plis the look on spocks face when he finds out kirk is alive is a little too homo for me lol. No offense though to anyone out there.

I'm surprised Journey to Babel made it this far. It's one of my favorites and it's got a lot in it, but I imagine some of the other cut episodes by now stand out better. It's about as even as Friday's child, which is another one of my favorites but I didn't imagine it was as remembered as the Doomsday Machine for instance.

Journey To Babel is not a bad choice of winner really, as it combines various popular elements of Star Trek in the one episode; the Kirk fight, the Spock dilemma (plus oodles of info about his background), the space battle, the mystery plot...

I'd have gone for The Doomsday Machine or The Trouble With Tribbles but Journey to Babel is a fine choice. Season three will be up within the next 24 hours - and traditionally, choosing episodes to eliminate in that one provides little difficulty!

But that's the thing with a simple elimination process popular episodes can easily be elimnate due to someone not liking it for whatever reason. As for season three that'll be the interesting one as it's the weakest of the three seasons with a few standout episodes.
