The least disliked episode of ENT - Season Four

This is a game that we play every few years or so, and it's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters, and wait at least 6 hours after your last vote, before voting again.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Yay first dibs! I'll kill off Bound anyway. an easy first choice. It was a silly story, it was sexist, and I also thought the idea of Trip and T'Pol being linked together was uninspired.

These Are The Voyages... no they're not. These Are The Final Insults would have been a more accurate title, quite frankly. Out it goes.

I am getting rid of "STORM FRONT", first part. I always hated the whole Temporal Cold War and could never get behind it. Add alien Nazis, and it just doesn't work.

The only thing I like is that this started the final end of the Temporal Cold War. Thank you, Manny Coto, we needed that to happen.

I get the feeling this is going to be quite a tough season to eliminate episodes from, seeing how there are so many functionally three-part episodes.

I'll eliminate one of the two remaining stand-alone episodes, Observer Effect. Not because it's stand-alone, however, but because the ending with Archer preaching to the Organians about superior human morality felt like something from the first two seasons.

I'll eliminate Cold Station 12. I like that arc, but that part has such a bizarre cliffhanger.

This season is tough because, for me, there were only 2 bad episodes ("DAEDALUS" and the finale) and 2 mediocre episodes ("STORM FRONT" duo), and even the mediocre ones ended a longstanding thread I have disliked since the pilot. Everything else has been varying degrees of excellent.

I am, reluctantly, forced to eliminate "HOME". A great episode, and a great casting choice of Joanna Cassidy, and a necessary episode after the Xindi arc. It gets taken out only because it felt like TNG's "Family", which were both, at its core, the same episodes.

Can't believe I missed TATV in my first post. :o

I'll get rid of The Augments next. I wasn't a big fan of their arc, in particular this was a mediocre final episode.

The Aenar because it was such a poor ending to the Andorian arc. It just felt like a thud.

Borderland
The Forge
Awakening
Kir'Shara
Babel One
United
Affliction
Divergence
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)
Demons
Terra Prime

I will separate "UNITED" from the list. A great episode, like all the rest here, but I just never liked the idea of Archer fighting Shran, no matter the reason.

Borderland
The Forge
Awakening
Kir'Shara
Babel One
Affliction
Divergence
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)

Whilst it was explained in a way that related to the earlier Augment arc, the Klingon experiment gone wrong was still an unnecessary way of explaining the differences in makeup between shows that were made decades apart.

I'll cut Divergence, anyway. Executed nicely but don't think too much about it.

Borderland
The Forge
Awakening
Kir'Shara
Babel One
Affliction
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)
Demons
Terra Prime

It's getting harder to find fault. I'll dump Affliction because explaining the whole ridge/non-ridge thing was kinda weird.

Borderland
The Forge
Awakening
Kir'Shara
Babel One
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)
Demons
Terra Prime

I'll exile Borderlands. Good episode overall, but the bit with the Orion slavers felt tacked-on.

The Forge
Awakening
Kir'Shara
Babel One
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)
Demons
Terra Prime

This is getting extremely difficult.

I will get rid of "BABEL ONE", simply because the other parts are gone.

The Forge
Awakening
Kir'Shara
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)
Demons
Terra Prime

At this point, I've got to evaluate them in terms of how I like the arcs as a whole. Of the three, the Vulcan Reformation arc is my least favorite. I'll eliminate Awakening because it's the middle chapter of that arc, and I liked the other two parts a little better.

The Forge
Kir'Shara
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
In a Mirror, Darkly (II)
Demons
Terra Prime

I'm taking out In a Mirror, Darkly Part II purely because I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the first part.

Forge
Kir'Shara
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
Demons
Terra Prime

I'll exorcise Demons. Nothing really that wrong with it, just the weakest of the remaining five episodes, IMO.

Forge
Kir'Shara
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
Terra Prime

Getting harder and harder to pick.

I will give "THE FORGE" the axe. I love the episode, and loved that it was the first episode written by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens. So much to love. I take it out only because it killed Admiral Forrest. Loved his character.

Kir'Shara
In a Mirror, Darkly (I)
Terra Prime
