Here we have the winners and runners up of each season:

    Season One: Broken Bow
    Wild Card: Silent Enemy
    Season Two: The Expanse
    Wild Card: Minefield
    Season Three: Proving Ground
    Wild Card: Damage
Season Four: In a Mirror, Darkly I
    Wild Card: United

So now it is time for the final part.

    *RULES*

Give what you consider to be the worst/your least favourite episode ONE point, and briefly explain WHY. Be sure to copy and paste the list with your point added. When an episode reaches 4 points, it is eliminated. Then a NEW round begins (in this thread) with the numbers restored to 0. Vote ONCE per round. If 48 hours without a vote passes, the episode currently leading in points will be eliminated, and a new round will begin. And enjoy! :bolian:

I really do like "Silent Enemy", for the most part, but that B story of Hoshi and Reed and the cake is just brutal. Unfortunate how it mars such a strong A story.

I agree. Silent Enemy is the weakest one left. Decent, not great.

I'll do "The Expanse" next. Great stuff comes out of the Xindi arc, but I've always thought this was a rough start. The tying up on the Klingon plot is tedious, the integration of the TCW is awkward, and Soval's description of the properties of the expanse is eye-rollingly preposterous. Also, Trip and Reed standing by the site of the attack really stands out to me as some of the most stunningly awful CGI I have ever seen.

I'll go with Minefield, it's a little strained. I mean Malcolm couldn't be any stiffer if he was dead! He really sounds like a cliché in that episode.

A point to "THE EXPANSE". While it kicked off the Xindi arc, tacking on Duras was a terrible idea. Although I'm glad they finally rid the series of him, it could have been done an episode or two earlier, or sometime in season 4, or just forget him altogether.

I'll go for Minefield this round. It's nice to have some character work for Reed, it's a shame he's a little dull.

I guess we can only vote once per round, so we'll have to wait for the time limit on this one (few voters).

Turn the knob clockwise. Then turn the knob counterclockwise three times. Talk a bit. Pull the knob slowly towards you and then turn it clockwise. Talk some more about boring stuff. Hesitate for a very long time, then turn the knob once more. Repeat. And again......

    I hate Minefield.

Plus it's a wasted opportunity. They could have rid us of Reed for good.

Woo hoo! New round. You've all kind of convinced me that "Minefield" is boring over the last day or two, so I'll do point to that this round.

Minefield was (partly) meant to flesh out Reed but it made him appear like even more of an extraterrestrial, a boring one at that. I don't care for characters with a stick up their behind unless they have something to compensate.

I guess I'm one of the few who likes "MINEFIELD", because that's one of my favorites of season 2. I thought it was tense, gave some needed character development for Reed, and brought in the Romulans in a convincing way.

Despite it being an otherwise great series premiere, it did start the one thing I HATED about this series, and frankly the franchise... the Temporal Cold War. "BROKEN BOW" gets a point this round.

I'm still going for Minefield, though it's close between that and Broken Bow to be fair. Same reasons as before.

Time's up - Minefield is incapacitated. (Shame - I actually liked the Hoshi/Reed subplot).

Broken Bow is pretty good, but not the best Trek premiere and certainly not the best of this list.
