The least disliked episode of DS9 - Season Two

This is a game that we play every few years, and it's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, please leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Paradise can get lost. I was pretty meh when I first saw the episode, but in retrospect it was the first major instance of the franchise pushing the "rural simplicity" message that eventually resulted in Star Trek: Insurrection, which really gives a bad taste in my mouth.

Taking out Profit and Loss. Very bland and boring for me.

Taking out “Cardassians”. I don’t recall what it was about.

Rules of Acquisition. Eliminating almost all Ferengi episodes on sight, I really can't stand most of them.

Also removing Profit and Loss since it was taken out earlier in the thread but seems to have been left in the list.

Melora is just terrible. One of those romance of the week episodes that always end in the couple breaking up. They had no chemistry either.

I love Cardassians and was sad to see it taken out, but that's the brutal cutthroat nature of this contest. Speaking of which, I'm getting rid of Crossover because it totally undermines "Mirror, Mirror" which is one of my all time favourite Star Trek episodes.

It's hard to cut episodes from my favorite season. Some of the weaker episodes have already been eliminated(and some good ones too). I'll cut The Siege, which was not as memorable as the The Homecoming or The Circle.

It's about a Cardassian boy raised by Bajorans. After he attacks Garak at The Replomat, Bashir and Garak team up to uncover the story of Cardassian orphans left behind on Bajor. It's a well written and acted episode with many layers to it.
Cardassians had many memorable Garak lines, my favorite being:

DEELA: I wouldn't know. I wasn't a volunteer then. I was in the underground.
GARAK: Really? Perhaps we have met.

At this rate, though, Far Beyond the Stars will be eliminated because of Kay Hunter's hairstyle.

I like Cardassians as well. Maybe it's the generic name of the episode that makes it forgettable? That's the fun of the contest anyway, like Duet going so early in the first round. :)

Anyway, Rivals is next for me. I always find Martus Mazur annoying, and I'm glad they didn't make him a recurring character like they originally thought in the early stages of production. The rest of the episode is a little dull.

Any episodes with Sisko in them. Then following that, any episode without Sisko in them.

"The Alternate" has never done much for me. It's really hurt by those terrible Odo!Monster effects. And the fact that they just fully repeat the Dr. Mora story in a few years.

Sanctuary. The main storyline is dull, the aliens of the week are even duller, and the chase sequence at the climax is just face-palmingly stupid.

Blood Oath, I'm not sure, but it sounds Klingon. Bleh on Klingon episodes.
Why do We never see episode of Ireland?
