The least disliked episode of DS9 - Season One

This is a game that was played here a couple of years ago, and it proved to be a lot of fun, spanning across each Trek series, as well as a great way to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you feel they would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

Well I'm going to consign "Move Along Home" to the fire caves. As for why I can abrely remember it. I know it was about an Alien game that quark played, with the other characters being the peices but that's about it. A largely forgettable episode.

I shall remove Q-Less. As much as I love Sisko hitting Q, it was a totally unneccesary crossover.

I'll remove If Wishes Were Horses, a pretty dire effort. It must have been really rough watching this show when it was first airing, after slogging through a run of pretty poor episodes for the last few weeks you get to this one, and it's like "how much more of this can I take?" not knowing how great the show would eventually become.

Moving on....

I'm getting rid of 'The Storyteller.' It was a nice prelude to the Bashir/O'Brien friendship but otherwise, a very boring episode with no real stakes for any of the show's main characters.

I'll get rid of The Passenger for Siddig's awful, awful acting.

It's time to forsake, "The Forsaken", featuring everyone's favourite Betazed Ambassador.

Dax - Jadzia's first featured episode (heck, the ONLY one of the season), and it's about a decades-old murder case and a sexual affair, where she basically spends the whole episode keeping her mouth shut and falling on a sword to protect an old woman. There are better ways to explore Dax's history than that, like Blood Oath.

Past Prologue for me. I remember thinking as a six year old how implausible the plot was and aside from that, the episode is pretty forgettable.

Glad to see Progress is still there. That was the first episode that made me start to think DS9 was going to be something special.

You know you should say that because it's time to banish you know what "Progress"

only kidding it's "Vortex".

I eliminate Babel.

I have nothing in particular against the episode. It's the episode where they initially figured out why Quark was a good character. But it's up against a strong crop, only other one I would consider eliminating is In The Hands Of The Prophets.

I will put "Duet" back in , then disqualify myself from playing the game anymore.

Dub is hereby disqualified from further posts in this thread because he cheated. There!
