The Least Disliked Episode 2023: SNW Season 2

Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

Among the Lotus Eaters was good, not great - making it an easy first out in this fantastic season.

[Farscape One]

My first elimination of this season is an easy one... "Subspace Rhapsody".

This episode did have some good character beats and it weaved the character arcs into the story... but I just can't stand musicals. This has the distinction of being the first (and unless the franchise does another musical, ONLY) episode I will never rewatch.

On that basis alone, it gets eliminated.

The disastrously terrible performance of Paul Wesley makes "Tomorrow And Tomorrow And Tomorrow" borderline unwatchable. A low point of the entire streaming era.

Again, like SNW season 1, for me, out of all these episodes I honestly enjoy, which one remaining did I honestly enjoy least?

Remove the musical please. It should have been a Short Trek or something not 10% of the season. The Klingon part made it all worth it, but it was really not what I tune in to Trek for.

I think the musical and of course, Those Old Scientists were among the best episodes of the season - but that’s the nature of the game.

I’ll take out The Broken Circle as it was a decent opener but not wholly representative of the quality that would come.

Subspace Rhapsody and Those Old Scientists gone already? TrekBBS hates fun.

I'll remove Ad Astra per Aspera. Trial episodes can be fun but I found this one surprisingly dull, the wonderful guest star notwithstanding. Literally every other episode this season is a banger though.

Yeah, I loved both Subspace Rhapsody and Those Old Scientists. I'll go with Hegemonh next, as fun as it is seeing the Gorn again, the homage to Alien is a bit too close again and pulls me out of any story with them.

Removing "Charades". It felt too sitcom to me, a genre I detest. Too much funny; not enough fun.

"Under the Cloak of War" is the winner!

I was hoping this or "Those Old Scientists" would be the winner.

Agreed about "Those Old Scientists". But "Subspace Rhapsody"... I'm glad others had fun with it, but I'm going to be completely honest... as long as these games exist and I am voting, it will always be the first one of season 2 that gets eliminated.
