The late Harvey Korman and Blazing Saddles

Did Harvey Korman have a problem with the N-word, even when used in a comic setting? With his recent passing, I came to the realization that his was the only (or very nearly the only) villain character in the piece not to use racist pejoratives. I have two theories :

1 - He just couldn't bring himself to casually use so loaded and provocative a word, even for comedy's sake.

2 - His was the smart evil character, happy to use prejudice to obtain his goals, but not having any use for it himself, since Lamar's ego made him look down on everybody else, regardless.

Any thoughts?

Really?!

How about when he's giving that list of thugs to Slim Pickens? That's one helluva list of perjoratives.

And while "Jewish" isn't a perjorative, the "He's too Jewish" is not a compliment--actually, here it was more of a negative reason to select someone.

Actually, Hedley said 'Too--Jewish' about Taggert's plan to kill every first-born male child in Rock Ridge.

And there were pejoratives aplenty tossed around in BS--but I don't think Hedley used pejoratives in that list so much as four-letter words.
