My two favorite TV shows of the 60s are TOS and the Twilight Zone.
I've always been interested in the crossover actors from the original TLZ and the various Trek series.
There were 72 actors that appeared in the original TLZ & TOS. Then after the spin-off series started we got some TLZ actors in the 'twlight' of their careers getting a last shot at Trek----John anderson, T Bikel, N Persoff, Fritz Weaver, Tim O'Conner etc.
a total of 18 TLZ actors appeared in the spin-offs.
After Enterprise was cancelled I figured that it was very unlikely that any other TLZ actors would get a shot at Trek.
Well the new movie disproved that theory.
Jeffrey Byron appears as 'tester #2' (I assume Kobayashi maru test) in the new movie.
Amazingly Jeffrey Byron is the youngest living TLZ actor left at age 53.
He appeared as an 8 year old in the last original TLZ episode aired---"The Bewitchin' Pool' An episode about a 'shan-gri-la' for unwanted/abused kids that can be accessed through the bottom of swimming pools !!!
That was a terrible 5th season episode but 45 years later a rather young looking middle-age guy can claim to be in the original TLZ AND the latest Trek movie and NOT as a decrepit old man either.
He beats outs Billy Mumy & Ron Howard as the youngest surviving actor from TLZ.
Billy Mumy did a DS9. hmm.
"Hey Ron Howard, want to direct the Trek sequel and make it 3 for 3 involvement for youngest TLZ actors being associated with Trek?"
IMDB Link..........Jeffrey Byron
