'The King's Speech,' - awesome film

Over the weekend I saw the film 'The King's Speech,' - awesome movie. It was brilliantly acted, directed, and written. I was really taken aback. I originally only went becaue it won so many Oscar nominations and I like to at least see some of the films that are considered Oscar favorites.

This film is incredible. I also never knew that King George the VI had a speech impediment. They also brilliantly interwove Wallace Simpson and Edwards abdication from the throne and some of the speculative dynamics surrounding that situation.

Have you seen it - did you like it? I highly recommend this film to just about anyone.

It is a marvelous movie - one of the few movies I would give a 10/10 to. I plan to buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD.

Colin Firth deserves the Oscar for his portrayal of King George V1. His performance was superb. Geoffrey Rush was excellent too.

I haven't seen it so I can't comment, but this Thread is more appropriate for the General Media Forum-- so stand back while I make with the Magic Mod Hand Jive! Whee-oooo!
