The Kids In The Hall return to TV this week!

I don't know about in America or the rest of the world, but in Canada, this Tuesday, January 12th at 9pm on the CBC, The Kids In The Hall are returning to TV with their 8 part series "Death Comes To Town." Some have compared it loosely to a parody of Twin Peaks.

I am so stoked and excited to see this! Unfortunately, I haven't caught any of their reunion shows in the last several years, so this will be like sitting down with old friends. Really, really funny old friends. :D

Anyone else looking forward to it? Anyone know if or when it's airing in the States?

I saw the commercial for this a few days ago. It'll be nice to see the gang again. And I didn't know it was shot in North Bay. I've always wanted to see North Bay.

I seriously think I'm the least Canadian person in Canada.

I generally don't care for most Canadian content, and never really thought Kinds in the Hall were all that funny.
Brain Candy made me laugh until the "plot" started. Then it wasn't funny. But that's the closest I've come to enjoying the group.

Tonight! 9pm, CBC! Be there, Canadians!

I read that they're still trying to secure a deal with an American network, so who knows when this will air there. Any Americans get CBC on cable?

That's great! Do any of the American networks still show reruns of Kids in the Hall? I know Comedy Central used to show it late at night, which is how I was first exposed to them, but I don't think they show it anymore...

I love the offices of "Doc Porterhouse Town Abortionist" with the hand written sign in the window; "Free Kitten with Every Procedure!" :guffaw:

As for Dave Foley, he's the 1st woman who screams with the dead guy in her mail box, he's seen on a porch with glasses and a curly wig, he's the woman screaming with the microphone at what appears to be a political rally and he's seen standing beside the camera man in the shot after the one character says "woah, what a shithole!"

That shot of the cat strapped down to a table is hysterical, too!

Hope the folks watching are enjoying it. I'll have to wait for it to show up on the CBC's online video player.

Find it, skin it, sew it, wear it! It's not that hard!

It was quite good, if a little weird seeing them in a plot arc. Half hour didn't seem long enough. It seemed like it was over before it began.

Looking forward to next week, though! Who killed the mayor!?!

Thanks. I figured he was there but I just didn't spot him. He didn't stand out as much as Bruce or Scott.

Just watched it, and definitely my favourite line.

Agreed on it seeming really, really fast. Ah well, it's new KitH, so I can't complain too much. ;) Would love to hear "Having An Average Weekend" before the series finishes, though.
