I have no idea how this movie managed to pass me by. The only explanation I can think of is that it just wasn't marketed that well, because I was watching a fair amount of tv in 2009.
I just flipped the tv on and was looking for something to watch, saw Duchovny and almost changed it cause I thought it was his show Californication. Once I found out it wasn't I decided to stick with it, and boy am I glad I did.
Basically this movie stars Demi Moore and David Duchovny as a pair of "stealth marketers" who, along with two young adults pose as a family and integrate themselves into a neighborhood. Their goal is to get people to buy products by essentially showing them off.
I wouldn't dream of spoiling any of the "twists" in the movie. But I was really impressed by it, in fact I'm probably going to pick it up on BluRay when I have some extra cash.
