The IT Crowd Series 5 delayed until April 2012

A great pity, this one grew from a hard sell to a real winner over the course of the four years. In fact I just purchased a season 1/2 box-set for a fiver this evening... I think I'll have to pop it in the DVD player to lift the mood.

It's interesting that he said he thought series 4 was the most consistent in terms of quality when I thought it was rather hit and miss.

As for him saying that four series is the most he's ever done, that's technically true, but Father Ted ran for 25 episodes while The IT Crowd currently only has 24 episodes.

Well, he DID say he's writing a long special for broadcast next year, and he MAY do a movie. So, its not ALL lost.

Was sad to hear there are no more great series. Then there were only 12 Fawlty Towers episodes. I would love a movie but I think the actors have out grown it.

I was wondering if a movie would be a possibility. Least it's being discussed.

And I didn't know about the "Special" so that's good news.

Sad news about there been no full 5th series, but looking forward to the special final ep.
