The interpretivist approach to syllabi

As the other thread was closed, with a gross misunderstanding as the final post by the moderator - I never claimed men are a minority, only that there would be men within minority groups: "minority men" - I'll post this example of the same kind of interpretivist approach to a professor's syllabus here to discuss.

There an entirely neutral phrase relating to effort in class was considered as a prelude to sexual harassment.
The same subjective interpretation with which the analysis was conducted could have led to real consequences here, but luckily didn't.

That wasn't the reason the thread was closed, that was just me disagreeing with your argument on that part. If I misunderstood your meaning, I apologize, but the thread closure for poisoning the well from the initial post stands. Don't start another thread on this. You're already discussing it in TNZ anyway.
