The Indian language in "Tattoo"

I re-watched "Tattoo" and "Cold Fire" this evening (yes it's Sunday evening where and when I write this!) and started to think about something.

Is the Indian language Kolopak and the others speak a real Indian language or just some Hollywood thing?

Anyone who knows anything about it?
