The Hungry earth clips and episode 13 title (spoilers)

Hope it's not literally whatever the big bad is in 12/13 ending up being the Big Bang. A Davison-minded continuity aware person like Moffat should know the Big Bang was caused in Terminus (I think it was Terminus anyway).

But Terminius' explanation of events doesn't even make sense so I wouldn't be bothered if that serial is ignored (plus "wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey").

That being said, I don't want it to be the actual Big Bang either.

Like I said in the other thread (the one that revealed episode 12's title) the titular "Big Bang" of episode 13 likely refers to whatever is causing the cracks. The Doctor did say in Flesh and Stone a "big bang" is responsible for causing the cracks.

I'm holding out for a depiction of the meeting between a certain bicranial Betelgeusian and a triple-breasted lady of the night..

I don't like the line about the TARDIS not being able to teleport outside of the forcefield. Baloney. The TARDIS has always been played as being the superior technology. Nothing can contain it, detect it, stop it, etc. No way some reptile forcefield from 2015 could do a thing to it.

Also, even if the TARDIS needed more then 9 minutes to get out of the forcefield, there's only like four people that appear to be trapped. Go inside the TARDIS, and shut the door. You're safe.

It's a reference to Flesh and Stone, when

the Doctor comments that there was a figurative "big bang" explosion on Amy's wedding day that cracked important moments throughout all of time and space.

I'm on a downer with this one before I've even seen it because of the damn Silurian makeup.

The Silurians with 'helmet' look great. They should just never take off that bloody helmet, because having an essentially simian (human) face underneath really cheapens the effect to such an extent that it makes the makeup job for Silurians from the classic show look superior..

Yeah, I really like how they look until you take that thing away... and they they look like an alien off Deep Space Nine.

Yep. Really not impressed with that at all.

Burn the makeup designer!!

That's perfectly fine. I'm on a downer with episode 11 because I hate James Corden and he looks like he's got a sizeable role in it. I expect nothing more than an episode worse than Fear Her.

Low expectations just mean we might enjoy it more than we could possibly imagine :techman:

Surely he has a sizable role in everything? ;) Seriously he does seem to only be funny because he's fat!

DigitalSpy's Ten Teasers for The Hungry Earth

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/d...21215/ten-teasers-about-the-hungry-earth.html

1. Amy and Rory are expecting to arrive in Rio when The Doctor mistakenly lands them in a Welsh village in the year 2020. Yes, it's just an excuse to see Amy in a tiny skirt for the next two episodes but let's agree to overlook that.

2. Immediately The Doctor senses that there's something unusual with the ground below them. There's something wrong with the grass, too.

3. Pay attention to the script very early on in this episode. A lot of the lines will have added poignancy after the story is done with.

4. The Doctor loves a big ****** *****.

5. Nasreen Chaudhry (Meera Syal) is heading up a team that has drilled further into the Earth than anyone has before, 21km deep. Unfortunately her drilling has disturbed something below...

6. The Earth is pretty hungry. Ravenous in fact. It consumes Amy and it's still got the munchies!

7. Shameless! Plug! For! Sherlock!

8. The Doctor: "Silence. Absolute silence."

9. When The Doctor comes face to face with a Silurian, she claims to be the last of her species.

10. The Doctor: "Nobody **** today."
