The Grim Reaper Visits Smallville

Yeah like it's not obvious who it is...

Ausiello:
Smallville’s ninth season finale will feature a cameo by one of TV’s most feared guest stars: The Grim Reaper. Sources confirm to me exclusively that producers of the everlasting superhero saga are planning to kill off a major castmember in the May 14 capper.

Yeah, it's Chloe, and most likely my viewership dies with her.

Who else am I supposed to be watching for ? Dickless Clark ? The Misandry Queen ? The guy who shoots his friends with Kryptonite arrows ?

If by "Lexette" you are referring to Tess I believe I read that Cassidy Freeman signed for season ten. I think there will be two deaths in Chloe and Zod. Both actors are not resigned yet as far as I know.

They better not screw this up. A death can make for good TV if done right. But quite often we get poor execution (;)). Just see last season with the death of Henry James "Not the Jimmy" Olsen. That death sucked. Not quite as bad as Trip on Enterprise, IMO, but still pretty bad. On the other hand, Jonathan Kent's death wasn't so bad. We shall see.

I think the writers have run out of ideas for Chloe...I really don't understand bringing Zod in as a major character and then getting rid of him...they could of just kept Cullum Blue as a recurring guest star.

I think it is Chloe. Callum Blue signed on for two seasons when he took the role of Zod. So he is a lock for season 10 if the story warrants. Allison Mack is the only major cast member I know of that is not signed.

One thing I hope they do: When they bring back Annette O'Toole and her husband Michael McKean later this season, keep them.

Their roles are going to be needed after all. Martha Kent's Senate term should be nearly up. She could easily return to the show if she is not "reelected". Besides, she needs to be around. Because it is Martha that designs and sews the suit for Clark.

And the Daily Planet needs Perry White right now. That's the real dynamic they are missing with Lois and Clark, the Perry angle. It is time that he takes his destined place as editor in chief of the Planet.

I will jump out a window if they kill Chloe

Clark is the one that needs to die, and Superman needs to take his place

Zod isn't the real Zod anyway since all of these Kryptonians are clones. If they kill Chloe I am done watching Smallville. Everyone is flying on this show except Clark. Ma Kent will be flying before Clark does. How come Clark can fly when he is possessed? This show needs an enema.

Clark has never been "possessed" on SMALLVILLE, except maybe that time he and Lionel traded bodies. In Clark's body, even Lionel didn't fly.

Clark was brainwashed at the start of the season that introduced Lois. In that state of mind he flew effortlessly, but as the AI Jor-El implied at the start of season nine, the not flying thing is "all in Clark's head".

We've known since the first or second season that Clark has a fear of heights. He's made some strides in overcoming it, but it must still be buried there where he can't just let go, despite consciously wanting to take to the air. ('Why can Kara fly and I can't?')
