The Greatest American Hero Blu-ray to be released in Japan

With the conversion in price from yen to dollar (or other relative currencies), it's still somewhat pricey, but if anybody wants to see this classic show on Blu-Ray DVD, I suppose they'll be buying it:

$175 for three seasons is a little more than pricey, even for corny fun like this.

Any word if it's re-mastered to HD quality?

^I believe that it most likely has been by the Japanese rights holder. Even if it hasn't, it's on Blu-Ray; that should be enough for people. Hopefully, its also got English language tracks, or at least English subtitles.

Huge fan of the show, but I didn't really find the picture quality on the DVDs to be all that bad myself. Although I would be curious to at least see some HD screengrabs when they come out.

It's actually $ 175 PER season.

I really loved this show growing up but dang. 175 per season is just WAY too high. MAYBE for the entire series but no way for just a season.

I have the DVD set and it looks pretty good, but suffers from out of order field jitter in the menu's, some kind of aliasing artifacts in every episode and most of the original aired music used was replaced unfortunately.

I paid that much for all 10 seasons of Friends, brand new, in a collector's box.

I think I'll wait till they realize they aren't selling anything at $175 and drop the price dramatically.

I have it on DVD.

Great show. Not sure I'd gain anything by having it on Blu-Ray (it's not like the fx are going to look any less hokey-er).

Wasn't this show a huge success in Japan? Moreso than anywhere else? People over there might pay the $175 a season for it.

While I loved Ralph (mostly because William Katt was perfect for the role) the guy I really liked was Bill Maxwell. Every time Ralph kicked bad guy ass and Maxwell got that smile on his face at justice being done was priceless.

I still hope they do that movie version with Matthew McConaughey that was rumored ages ago.
