Rather than starting a whole new thread, I'd like to tell you here that I'm about to bail from the BBS for some months while I try and get my life back on track - this place is too much of a distraction, and there are a couple of big projects that I've been neglecting..

I just want to say that coming in here is, mostly, a pleasure, and the company has been convivial, informative and interesting. It helps that Who is a show that's continuing, and continuing to change. Which means we have permission to change as well. Unlike some posters in a certain movie subforum who can't let go of the past. But I digress.

My plan is to return around the time Series/Season 5 starts (though I may sneak back in for Eurovision). Anyway, one way or another, as the poet says, I have miles to go before I sleep, so I'll talk with y'all then.

Though I have to say...

...

... I don't want to go...

...

Nice cross-connection there, Australis. Looking forward to your regeneration!

There is a comment Rassilon makes, as the Timelords are attempting to crossover into Earth. He refers to the dissenting Timelords as standing "as monuments to their shame, like the weeping angels of old". I honestly don't think he's implying any connection with the angels from "Blink" .... but is there anything else here? Is it simply an analogy and nothing more significant?

Well, the weeping angels from "Blink" are apparently going to make some sort of return, so it wouldn't surprise me if the reference were deliberate.

I think he was referring to the Weeping Angels but that's there is to it. Fans out there are trying to draw a greater connection like the Time Lords created the Angels or something. That's a bit far-fetched.

I'm not so sure anymore.

Looks like the specials are doing pretty well for BBC America.

From Digital Spy

The initial Saturday evening broadcast of 'The End Of Time, Part Two', which was also the last episode from showrunner Russell T. Davies, averaged an audience of 1.02 million, TVbytheNumbers reports.

A second and third telecast pushed the figure to a total of 1.47 million. This exceeded the 1.1 million recorded for the three airings of 'Waters Of Mars' last month.
