Given that Dark Knight comes out next month on the 8th, it would be extremely foolish on DC's part to do anything permanent to Bruce Wayne as Batman. Even short term would turn readers off, as it's already been done. It was novel back in the "Knightsend/Quest" days, but I don't think readers would stick around a second time. I'm waiting until the last part of RIP comes out before I make a decision...if the d@mn thing ever comes out....
