The Eleven (Female) Doctors

Eleven looks like Bernice Summerfield. And six doesn't scream Sixie to me. Sixie should be big and loud; female Six just looks bubbly.

Four looks like a bag lady, five just looks, well, "blonde". Seven looks like she'd have a Scottish accent. Three looks like she's wearing a nightie.

If One's an old-time strict headmistress, then Eight is the friendlier teacher. Ten looks like a scientist who could go bonkers at the drop of a fez, while Two looks like a quiet sort, who is perhaps brighter than she looks.

And Nine, well. We all know which way she dances.

Very good, although their faces are all oddly similar.
Not at all. Or are you just saying all illustrated peoples look the same to you? In which case I guess you're just a sad dimensionalist.

8 and 10 and 11 make my favorites list once again, with 3 surprisingly falling behind a few notches.

Also, yes please Who cartoon.

Now I know who Three reminds me off...Jon Pertwee in drag in The Green Death. It's as if the artist just femaled it up from there.

Pretty neat.

I like Eight, Ten and Eleven. For some reason, the artist has captured McGanns curiosity gaze that he had and made the Victorian clothes work better here than the actual movie. it may be my fave out of all 11. As said above, Three looks like a mad old man in drag, One and Two are good and capture the essence visually quite well. Not keen on Four or Six but Five is a kinda pass I guess, it works for the style, like a college girl has raided the boys sports locker room 100 years in the past. Seven, looks like my old French teacher so, errm, yeah, and Nine, looks like a transsexual pre-op.

They captured Ten really well, as if she could go Bat-shit crazy at any moment. The style works and the glasses and mad hair just work. And the massive eyes are pure Tennant.

As for Eleven, I like it. The style works and they have done a good job recreating the look. She looks as if she can go from normal to 100mph technobabble-cum-genius in a split second.

Nice find.

Be cool to imagine this as a parallel universe timeline of The Doctor. Good fanfic inspiration.

All 11 Doctors were really neat. Thanks for sharing that link. The first, fourth, and eighth were my favorites. The first captured Hartnell's crotchety look really well. I liked the bohemian look made for the fourth, and the eighth I love the Victorian look. Another Victorian look for Who characters I came across here, if this artist hasn't been noted before the gallery has a number of very well done Doctor Who pieces. http://paulhanley.deviantart.com/art/The-Baker-Street-Justice-Society-306530340

This really does make me want to see a female Doctor Who series.

I don't even see why it would have to be The Doctor either; just make it another female Timelord like Romana and have her act appropriately "Doctorish," and that would be all you'd need.

Some of these really make me wonder how their respective runs would have worked if they had been women. The 5th Doctor especially. Peter Davison often played him with an element of soft naivete which could work equally well with with a young female Doctor.

I'm not sure I see anything particularly Doctorish about the 8th one, but man is she turning me on for some reason!

Brilliant! Let's see, I spotted references to "The Highlanders," "The Talons of Weng-Chiang," "Timelash," "Battlefield," "Ghost Light," "Tooth & Claw," "The Shakespeare Code," "The Next Doctor," "A Good Man Goes to War," Torchwood, and some of the Gallifrey audios featuring Leela & Romana. Did I miss anything?
