"The Drumhead" Line-by-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed our "Take Me Out To The Holosuite" Line-by-Line over in the DS9 forum!

After each completed thread, we're randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was me!And I has chosen "The Drumhead" as our next Line-by-Line challenge!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes, each episode is a separate thread.

As before, at the conclusion of this thread, I or CoveTom, BlueStuff, Enterprise1981 or leandar, will run the randomizer to determine who will pick the next episode and get it going.

And now, lets seek out the Federation's enemies!

Captain's Log, Stardate: 44769.2 For some weeks, we have had a Klingon exobiologist on board as part of a scientific exchange program. Unfortunately, we suspect that he was involved in a security breach and in the possible sabotage of our warp drive.

In the Interrogation Room, Riker and Troi are interrogating J'Dan, while Worf stands guard by the door.

 

[Gul Re'jal]

RIKER: What were you doing accessing the propulsion system files on Stardate 44758?

 

[LeadHead]

J'Dan: I didn't.

 

[Gul Re'jal]

RIKER: Yes, you did, from computer twelve B nine, deck thirty six. The computer logged in your identification from your communicator.

 

[LeadHead]

J'Dan: It must be a mistake.

 

[Enterprise1981]

TROI: J'Dan, we have confirmed reports that schematic drawings of our dilithium chamber fell into Romulan hands one week later.

 

[Orac]

J'Dan: I know nothing about it.

 

[LeadHead]

Riker: I suppose you know nothing about the explosion that disabled our warp drive at approximately the same time?

 

[Gul Re'jal]

J'DAN: No. I was not involved. You accuse me because I am Klingon.

 

[ElimGarak.93-99]

TROI: Our chief of security is Klingon. That has nothing to do with it.

 

[P Tom]

J'DAN: Send me home then if you are so distrusting.

 

[ElimGarak.93-99]

RIKER: We've already contact the Klingon High Council. You'll be returned home as soon as we finish our investigation.

 

[P Tom]

J'DAN: I have nothing more to say.

 

[Gul Re'jal]

RIKER: Very well. Worf, accompany the Lieutenant to his quarters.
(Worf and J'Dan leave)
RIKER: What do you think?

 

[ElimGarak.93-99]

TROI: It's hard to tell. He's very closed, but he is hiding something.

 

[Gul Re'jal]

[Turbolift]

J'DAN: On the Klingon Home World your name is not mentioned. It is as though you never existed. A terrible burden for a warrior to bear, to become nothing, to be without honour, without the chance for glory.

[Corridor]

J'DAN: I have friends, powerful friends, on the homeworld. I could talk to them. They might help to restore your name, if you could just take me to a shuttlecraft.

[J'Dan's quarters]

J'DAN: It could be done without any one knowing about it.

 

[Enterprise1981]

Worf hits J'Dan and pins him to the wall.

WORF: I don't know how you transferred secret information to the Romulans, but I will find out.

 

[Orac]

J'Dan: Pahtk!

 

[Enterprise1981]

WORF: When we inform the Klingon High Council, they will put you to a slow death.
